Chris Daeger discusses some particulars about dormant season stylings of deciduous trees as this is best time to prune and shape with the foliage out of the way and the energy stored for 2022’s growth is still in the dormant root system.  Evergreen conifers still can be done as well at this time of year as well. 

It is also a terrific time to do first-time pot ups, stepping up into larger pots, stepping down to finish pots, or repot with some root pruning to create a thicker root system. At least one demo will show an example of the pruning of the above ground viewable tree as well as showing an example of root pruning to create a thicker system.  It's also a good time to wire and style your tree this time of year too.
